(no subject)

Just came from the interview for the dream job, and not sure how it went, because it was one of those group interview situations where it's easy to waste a lot of energy trying to mind-read. I'll know by Monday, and I suspect if the news is good, sooner even than that, so please beam... I feel like I need it.

Didn't get the casting of yesterday, which doesn't surprise me, but I'm feeling remarkably down about it, because I got a personal note saying so and I can't imagine that they would have sent personal notes to that many rejected people, unless I was one of the few. I don't know, it's one of those convoluted "I'm ugly" moments.

I did pick up my headshot order finally though, so ever onward I suppose.

A possible alternative expanation for your personalized rejection note -- that you were literally the runner-up for the part and they regrettably had to go with that other person, but they still thought you were an amazing actress and may want to work with you again in the future. Remember: most of us poor acting schnooks don't even get notified rejection, let alone personal rejection letters. Keep your chin up and remember that if you're good enough to have your face on a building, you're good enough to be an actress.

Hope the show went well and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Yeah, no I know -- and I actually get a lot of personal rejection letters, and they always _really_ freak me out, which is something I just need to get past.

And yeah, I need to try to get to your show, as I found out I just know someone in it apparently as well, and I can't have two people miffed at me for not popping in.
