(no subject)

I may be getting an eye infection. Or it just may be annoyed. Either way, I don't have time for it and it is causing me stress.

Why might I not have time for it, other than the obvious? Well, we lost a member of our dance chorus today for A&G, so now I'm in it. Yes, I'm in an opera. Just dancing. But in an opera.

Which is a fact that clearly states little other than the universe, while it may not be interested in encouraging me, is certainly interested in encouraging my sense of humour.

Umm... wet teabags on the eyes, maybe?

Wet teabags, yeah - or a boric acid and water solution.

So this is like a known thing?
You mean I don't have to run to the doctor freaking out tomorrow?
Black tea?

Black tea, yep. Warm water. Give it a try. If it's - ick - a sty, it should almost certainly work.

Get some chrysanthemum flowers (called Ju Hua in Chinese) from the health food store and make a tea out of them, let it cool a bit and soak your eyes with them. It totally works. If you're getting pink eye, it'll help with that too. It could be caused by the stress you're under, by the way.

I don't think it's pink eye in that while my eye is in fact pinkish, I was able to open in this morning, and normally when I have pink eye it's way way way way more severe than this. It's some sort of infection, and it's not a sty, so I will try this.

How long do I soak with them?

Soak a cotton ball or square in the tea and put it on your eye. Just do it for about 10 minutes or so a 3 times a day or more.
Continue for a few days until it feels better.

Whatever your conception of god may be, you surely can't deny that he/she/it has a taste for practical jokes.

Well, I find this one rather charming.
