I recently ran across I Can't Believe You Asked That (http://www.amazon.com/Cant-Believe-You-Asked-That/dp/0399530169), which is a compilation from a web site called Y Forum (http://yforum.com/) that specializes in that sort of thing.
I thought the mandatory diversity training days at work were great, because people felt they could actually ask some of the dumb questions they've always wondered about, and other people could answer them. Similarly, I have an Israeli friend who I go to with stupid questions about Jewish stuff.
The TV series "30 Days" was also good for encouraging dialog, at least amongst the participants; they ought to make it required viewing...
