1. Anyone have links to the fan vids done by Latex!Snape?

2. Who is going to Terminus?

3. If you're going to Terminus how do you feel about the idea of a small formal/traditional dance event brought to you by the folks who tried to waltz to something appalling (I can no longer recall which song it was)? It would be a lot of work if the proposal got accepted and I really want to gague interest for it.

4. As I noted in an earlier post, I got really into some stuff about Snape-as-collaborator at the "Daddy, I want to be a Death Eater" panel -- is there an interest in a paper on this subject, and, if so, should it be entirely about Snape and the parallels (and lack there of) between him and Jewish collaborators with the Nazis or should it look at the broader issues of collaboration, collusion and self-betrayal as "original sin" in the HP world (Snape, Draco, Elieen, Andomreda/Ted, etc.)? i.e., how much work do you kids want me to do?

5. Present improv again?

6. Fanfiction something, certainly.

7. Then there's that wacky duelling analysis idea floating around, the viability of which I won't really be sure of until I see movie 5.

8. Looking at all of these ideas, I have to wonder, how many presentations did whomever presented teh most stuff present at PR?

9. Man, how do I top this year's costumes? I will of course do Snape and Abaxus again, but I'd need something different and new for the ball. Eek!

10. Who was the "and then I tried to slip Snape tongue?" girl? I should friend her and her friend, but can't remember their names.

11. Similarly, anyone remember the LJ name of the girl who lent me her camera as she has the apothocary photos?

12. For those wondering, I did leave my house knee socks at home! So I am wearing them today.

2. After this weekend, I want to go to Terminus.

10. "I tried to slip Snape the tongue" Girl doesn't have an LJ, but her friend Rosemary does. Her LJ is [livejournal.com profile] quietish.

Kelly will come over to LJ and the dark side eventually. Muahahahaha.

It was cool to meet you; Friending you now.

I already told you that a waltzing thing would be awesome. Awesome, awesome. I'm ready to sign up; I am surprised no one thought of that for PR. Will more than likely be at Terminus. And Portus.

I shall friend you back. I think the biggest issue with teh waltzing and set dances thing is that most presentations re only 2 hour slots, and this would sort of require me to get four out of them -- 1-2 to teach and 2 to dance. But I suppose if I write them a long letter about it is can be discussed.

I thought the same thing about crafting, sorta. If they had a room that was open all the time like the gallery, where people can come in (maybe pay a materials fee) and get help with the projects, more people would have gotten a chance. Instead of being shut out of the (too) short classes for space reasons.

Right, and no one would technically have to learn how to dance, they could just come to the dancing part. Also, I am NOT A DANCE TEACHER, just someone who could mudle through a lot of things for this type of idea. And I could do set dances so the gender balance issue wouldn't matter so much.

Well if there are dance teachers in the fandom, they certainly didn't find teaching people proper dancing important enough to do anything about it.

I would be the attempted tongue slipper. I succumbed to LJ this morning. I would totally dig the dance thing. It could be the thing that gets me into a costume too. Anyhow I friended you and must now do something that involves stuff I get money for.

Most likely will be going to Terminus ... but I need to think about it, because next year is getting really con-heavy. If I do, and if they see fit to accept my papers, I'll be presenting again.

Definitely would love the dance idea. Definitely coming in costume this time, too

2. I registered for Terminus, I am also intending to register for Portus. I can start to pay for everything now while I still have plenty of money, then it won't be such a shock to my wallet when the cons come around. PR got me hooked on HP cons. They're an expensive habit, as all good habits are.

3. You know my feeling on it. Let me know if you need any help with it. I can't help teach the dances, since I don't know them, but if you need help with anything else, let me know.

5. Yes please! That was so much fun that I wish I could be in an HP themed improv troup.

7. I think there could be some interest. I have faith in people's ability to at least be drawn in with the mention of fencing.

9. I got nothing. I am going to have to start planning, too. I'm thinking something less colorful for me. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Hi, I'm the girl who lent you her camera--I haven't uploaded the photos to any site yet, but I'll email you the ones with you in them now if you want. It's too bad the apothecary was closed, but I thought the picture came out well anyway.

I'd love to go to a formal event at Terminus! I don't know much about dancing other than the waltz, so a workshop beforehand would be good. Would there be a problem with having the dance as part of the ball, maybe from 7-8:30? People will be dressed up anyway, and that doesn't compete with other programming. There could even be a song played in the middle of the main ball event that allowed people to show off their dancing in a larger group (unless that'd be seen as disruptive).

Mind if I friend you?

Welcome! And feel free to friend me. Thanks for the loan of the camera and teh update on your photos. I think once the con folks have a little time to relax I'm going to mail them about the formal dancing idea, as I'm not sure it will fit within a standard proposal format.

Yes, it sounds more like an event than a presentation (but an awesome one). I'm sending the pics to your LJ email address, but let me know if you'd like them to go somewhere else. ^^
