As I suspected the CEO's whereabouts being "on the road" = "road show" = IPO
This is both incredibly understandable and incredibly damning and is the best reason for exodus I've seen.
P.S.: I think everyone should create as many communities here with utterly porntastic names as they can possibly think of.

Date: 2007-06-02 06:27 am (UTC)I do not wish this enough to start running an imitation LJ server off our servers, because the whole reason people "stick" (for Internet values of "sticky") with LJ is because their friends are here. Until somebody solves that technical hurdle - which I hope they do soon - I am too lazy to have to read things on eight different services. And I am too sick to run an Abuse department myself, even a little one. I remind myself of this because it is hard to resist the urge to do so sometimes...
