Descensus mirrors will go live soon.
http://asylums.insanejournal.com/descensus_hp/ for now.
Possibly GJ. Ultimately, our own webiste and domain.
ETA: Like on LJ, only [livejournal.com profile] kalichan and I will be members of the community so we can both post; friend to read, and I'm sorry that this is totally confusing.

I view both of these options as non-satisfactory. For now, I will remain here posting all content and backing up to harddrive daily. When a general tracjectory for fandom becomes clear some or all aspects of this journal may migrate.

When my paid time runs out, I won't be reupping.

So no effect on you teh reader, but now you know where to find me if LJ does suddenly decide that writing is as scary as art. Because seriously? If the novel I was working on was visual content and I shared any of the WIP here, I'd be nuked off LJ so fast it's not even funny.

I think that one bit of info that people are overlooking is that the LJ source code is open source. Someone with a bit of motivation and some money to burn could start the whole process anew.

Scribblit is promising. 18+, servers in Canada, ToS created by fen with legal fen advising. Worth keeping an eye on.

Where is it that people are listing their journals so I can find people to refriend on other sites? Argh.

You know, I don't want to go. And, I'm not going. I'm not leaving my community. But I will stop paying for anything here, and I will stop promoting the site, and I will take my 'professional' business elsewhere, at least until I feel more secure. I'm still a little hopeful. But then again, that's often to my detriment.

Hi. I saw your post on lj_biz (boldface just 'cause I can), and I checked out your profile. You seem very interesting, so I'd like to add you to my flist here and at my new GJ. Also, you're mutual friends with [livejournal.com profile] machineplay, which is definitely a good enough rec for me.

I'll pop over to IL later and add you (er, once I've worked out how!).

Yeah, I grabbed hangedwoman in both places. I can't imagine leaving LJ completely because of things like my parrot communities, but I'm not giving them anymore money. As far as the rest, I'll figure it out as I go along.

While Strikethrough 07 hasn't affected me personally, I am pissed off as a writer and as a paid member.

I don't know anything about greatestjournal, insanejournal, et al. Is there any sort of breakdown describing pros and cons of the other systems? Just curious..

This whole situation is utterly enraging. I am nearly speechless about it.
