Yes, dahlinks, "chick on cell" was me. I assume it won't make anyone feel any better that the reference wasn't on my own behalf?

Well, if it's any consolation, I'm sure your quote has amused legions of Voldeslashers today, tho. :)
Or would that be "He-Who-Must-Not-Be Slashed"? :D

Anyway.

I like your description below though, about projecting on to people what they could be as a way to express something you want for yourself.
I used to work things out by talking about Star Trek: Voyager in public with my friend, and I used to express the fear not that no one would know what we were talking about, but that someone would.

"Girl: I used to have two vibrators, but I broke 'em both.

...and that was on my behalf...

I'm a bit of a Voldy-shipper myself, I'm afraid to say. Your quote sort of made my day, even after you clarified. Squee!

I clearly also need more well-written Snape/Voldemort and/or Peter/Voldemort fics, despite the fact that I really do approve of the ship that was introduced in book 7 (not mentioning it just because I dont want to spoil anyone who hasn't read the last book yet). They are both frustratingly difficult to come by!

I hate that Peter has been thrown away. I really like him a lot, and particularly enjoy writing about him and playing him. OF course, my version of Peter is typically transgender too, so ...

Peter as trans is one of those things that works weirdly well with the film portrayal.

As for the ship I didn't name, definitely. Works well in the books, but that degree of feeling is less likely outside of the books. In any case, I prefer the idea of a Snape who had other relationships. Nonetheless, I ship Snape/Voldemort a bit less these days. Not with the interest I once had. Though I'd probably read Voldemort/almost anyone if it wasn't chan.

I do think Bellatrix/Voldemort is the most interesting if it's unrequited, though. Someday I'll have to blather about my take on Bella/Rhodolphus.
