"I must express my deepest concerns that your definition of "hate speech" (as presented on the page that appears when one attempts to flag material as such) does NOT include hateful, violence-encouraging content directed against people based on their sexual orientation or gender identity."

I'm really glad I wasn't drinking anything just now.

WELL-PLAYED.

I'm just... I can't even be upset anymore. We'll see if they manage to break me again.

It doesn't even include GENDER. WTF.

What's it gonna take for these idiots to hire a good lawyer to write some boilerplate for them?

I really think that 6A just doesn't care whether or not the homosexual community has anything to do with LJ. And all the yelling in the world isn't going to get these people to admit that. 6A doesn't want to lose it's right-wing, family-friendly, stock-holder-pleasing base, but they don't want to look like raging un-pc homophobes either, so they keep sitting on the fence, hoping that the gays will go away in disgust and solve the problem for them.

Pretty interesting that disability isn't included, either.

I think I've finally figured it out. This may have been previously known, but I haven't been aware. 6A must be run by a fundamentally religious zealot. I live in the Bible Belt, and they're everywhere here. People who own news stations that have people thanking Jesus every five minutes on the morning news.

I'm just guessing, but it's the only explanation my mind can make for their total and complete cluelessness. If it wouldn't be considered hate speech, I'd suggest that it's scary for fundamentalists to run things, which makes me want to scream at the world, "Beware of Mike Huckabee! You don't want him running the freaking country." Sorry /tangent.
