I think I've finally figured it out. This may have been previously known, but I haven't been aware. 6A must be run by a fundamentally religious zealot. I live in the Bible Belt, and they're everywhere here. People who own news stations that have people thanking Jesus every five minutes on the morning news.

I'm just guessing, but it's the only explanation my mind can make for their total and complete cluelessness. If it wouldn't be considered hate speech, I'd suggest that it's scary for fundamentalists to run things, which makes me want to scream at the world, "Beware of Mike Huckabee! You don't want him running the freaking country." Sorry /tangent.
