Registered for ComicCon NY as a pro. We'll see how that goes.
Am now going to the post office to send my recommendation forms out to said recommenders.
Tonight I am going to try to do the first draft of my personal statement which needs to cover who I am, why I write and why I want to go to Hunter in 500 words or less. I've got the first two down, and I wonder if it's wrong to say that the draw of Hunter is at least in part that it is somewhat culturally removed from my upbringing, even if said up bringing was 8 blocks away.
On the form I actually had to write how long I've been a resident of New York State. 35 years, 4 months.
Jeez.
I think we're doing Christmas tonight. Ha, finally!
Finally, my summary of Kushiel's Chosen? "World building, some shit happens, some other shit happens, some shit happens you should have expected but didn't, some shit happens that we can bet didn't happen in the first draft, Phedre almost dies, Phedre almost dies another way, hey, Phedre almost dies, some shit happens." I've got about 200 pages left, so we'll see where it goes from here. That bit of commentary aside, I'm quite taken with it.
