How can I still feel so tired and weird from the food poisoning episode?

Also, now I have a cold.

I am so frustrated.

Right now I'm doing rice, vitamin water, gluten-free toast (sometimes with small amounts of jam or peanut butter) and chicken. I hate bananas.

After I eat I sometimes feel briefly really horrible, but then it passes and my stomach continues to gurgle like mad and my intestines are still screwed up.

I really nope it wasn't norovirus, as I'm scared Patty will get this now.

FYI, vitamin water is full of citric acid, which may aggravate an already-bile-filled stomach. Filtered apple juice (not from concentrate, not with stuff floating in it) might be better right now.

If this is still a problem tomorrow, you might do well to go to a doctor and get tested for something. One variety of food poisoning I had took five days to manifest and turned out to be Campylobacter bacteria (like salmonella). They should be able to determine this with a lab test now. Unfortunately it may not speed up your recovery, but it would likely help to know what you're dealing with.

Nah, I see no sense in going to a doctor if I'm keeping fluids and food down and stuff. I mean, it's not like they can do anything for whatever.

Totally did the apple juice thing for a day, and it drove me crazy, but that was probably psychological. It makes me feel like I'm 4.

I meant if it is freaking you out to not KNOW what is happening. If you're okay with still feeling gross for a few days, that is probably how it'll be regardless of the doctor.

One of the most frustrating things about being sick like this is feeling four, for days, but not being four.

Hahaha yeah. Also, gluten-free toast is not like regular toast. It's cakey and sweet and a bit harder to digest, so it's been hard finding a way to do this sensibly.

Also you will roll your eyes at me, but the chicken I ate was this awesome thing Patty made involving lots of gluten-free soy sauce and garlic.

The GF bread from Whole Foods makes me feel sick. I don't know why, but I really feel atrocious when I eat it.

Do you like potatoes? They're very high in potassium and pretty easy on the gut.

Also, looked up the norovirus incubation period. I think Patty's safe.
