Is anyone actually reporting it as suicide yet? Everything I've seen is just saying he died, apart from the NYT, which says pills were found. Which still leaves a lot of room for accidental overdose.

That's what i was thinking,,,,River Phoenix wise. The only thing with him was that he always had that 'bad boy' thing hanging with Depp and such at the Viper back in the day. This is just shocking as from what I understand Ledger seemed very straight-laced.

I was so sad to see that today. Even more sad to see the insensitive people on other boards calling him an addict, etc. People just don't understand the levels of feeling that actors have to go through. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was dealing with depression.

At this point it sounds accidental. Reports are that he had pneumonia or at least some major cold stuff. Take that + sleeping pills and reports that they'd heard him snoring from the next room a while before he was found and I figure he just ended up unable to breathe. 'Course I'm no expert and am going by scattered reports.

Mostly I'm annoyed by the idiots running around talking as if he was a drug user or that this is a clear suicide.
