various updates

rm- I am on my last night of night work.
- I have about 12 pages of writing samples for my grad school application that are 90% done (The Catman & I and The Price of Oz). I have another 5 pages that's probably 70% done (The Life of Dogs). This leaves me needing to conjure up about 10 more pages, that I want to be about fencing that I am now beating my head against, largely because I think I am working hard at telling a story that only has me in it, and I don't think it actually works like that. In short I am afraid, as I always am, of the repercussions of telling the stories of men. Gross. I think I may have just figured out a way in though, although it's not the story I had originally intended to tell there.
I'm also at about 90% with the personal statement, and think my proposal, which I haven't started yet, just took a radical turn (from being about Rigor to being about Secret Worlds), but I think it will be okay. Except I'm obviously freaked if I am posting about it here.
I still also have to put my CV together (as I copped out of nearly all the questions on the application with "see CV"), but I have all the pieces about and think it will be fine.
- Patty is still sick, but doing better. I hate not being with her at night for both of our sakes, but she's been lovely through this whole ordeal. Tuesday night we have reservations at Megu.
- Tomorrow is fencing.
- Patty and I have been watching a lot of America's Next Top Model. Tyra is such a bitch.
