Hewitt reunion

The invitation to the Hewitt reunion came today. Unfortunately for me, but luckily for Patty, she'll be away when the event occurs.

Should I go? I am, at this point pretty much making my decision on this one based on whether you all will be entertained by tales from the front.

(For those new to my friends list and not in the know, Hewitt is not my alma mater, but I attended for 10 years. It is an exclusive girls private school in NYC that is apparently less insane now than when I was there. Thanks to it I know a great deal about comportment and Latin and have a lot of pretty dreadful stories to tell about various DAR girls and other insanities).

We didn't know each other at school really, but we worked together for a time afterwards.

Wait a minute, did you work at a certain much loved but now defunct ISP? Or at a, again, loved but defunct programming house? (if the latter, then you may know my sister too.)

Ok, I thought you were pretty cool before what with the regency ball and the steampunk, but now, wow, many points higher. :) I'm just sorry I came in after the light were out---the next project (Evolution) was fun, but the stories I've heard from before... I am always amused that the wikipedia entry is all about Bruce though.

(and my sister's piglet evans--she was around for some of that time, so you might know her too, there only being about 100 people in the world these days)

I was around for some of the Evolution stuff (the great Dutch government drama), although I can't remember anymore if it was on a professional or personal basis: it was a very screwy time (funny, in retrospect, but screwy) and I think I met her once when I stopped by the office after I had departed.

The world is very very small.

It really is.

I started working for Evolution after that, and stayed until the bitter end, then went over to panix for a while. It was both wonderful and odd at the same time.
