- Last night I dreamed about getting shot three times. I hate dreaming about getting shot. It used to be just arbitrarily unpleasant, until in my twenties I recounted one of these dreams to three different people who have been shot and they were all entirely freaked out and said that for whatever reason my dream conception of the sensation was dead on. Now they really disturb me.

- 75 Things Every Man Should Know How to Do -- I'm really only out of luck with the dogs and the pool.

- Christiansands by Tricky is the most ridiculously sexy song ever.

- We saw The Fall last night. Lee Pace bears an uncanny resemblance to two men I know who I never realized looked alike, but wow, it would explain a lot. Anyway, the movie is phenomenal and even stranger than you're probably anticipating.

- This article really moved me, but then I am relentlessly interested in the way people perpetuate traditions even when they feel that they totally grate against their will.

Oh man, did I love that list.

I felt pretty good knowing that I can do many of them myself. (Although a bucket of Pimm's Cup wouldn't work too well--you need to make that one as-ordered.)

I'd love to see that be a list of competency for all humans, not just men. I can easily imagine as many men being wowed by a woman with those abilities as vice versa.

There were also a lot of things I felt should have been on there (for all humans) that weren't, including knowing how to go through the ritual of ordering wine at a restaurant, and basic handling of a gun. Seriously, even if you never ever want to shoot one/own one, whatever, they're too prevalent in our society for people not to know how to handle them properly should they have an unexpected interaction with one (like when my father was given an antique pistol as a gift and held it as if it were diseased).
