- Patty is now safely on her way to Syria via London. The airport thing was really hard, but on the other hand, it was okay to cry and wave this time, and I know she's coming home to me (we'd only been dating a few weeks and hadn't decided to move in together yet last summer). We took some adorable pictures together before she went and I'll post later. I am not looking forward to my bachelor lifestyle for the next couple of months though, but so it goes.

- I got a new charger for my cellphone that will also charge my ipod.

- I got henna (put henna on hands, by the time it wears off she'll be halfway home).

- I have several Torchwood episode reviews to write.

- Meanwhile, it's been a hell of a day on other fronts and now I'm at work.

- More later. Lots of craziness at hand, but it really deserves more than a bullet point!

I spent the first nine months of my marriage mostly apart from David. Wow, did that suck. Sometimes time apart is refreshing--but months of it is hard. It is good that you have this trip coming up and so much stuff to keep yourself busy. I love the henna fading as a way to mark time.

You and my beau should start a support group. 3 months is the average length of my trips.
