- I got to talk to Patty this morning! Which is really good since none of my letters from Italy have gotten to her yet, and I am not sure if they ever will (the one I sent from here a few days ago should t least get there next week) and I haven't gotten any of hers yet. But she is well and happy and funny and we miss each other. Also, she is learning lots of Arabic, and while I entertained sexy fantasies about her teaching me the language she informed me that her vocabular is largely focused on thigns like "pottery shards." Also, once we are sure she is getting letters, I am sending Nutella.

- Then work.

- With a nice break to upload the Torchwood FST now that you people have explained the wonders of technology to me.

- Also the slacks I've been whining about? Possibly actually available in my size. I need to get on this or else I'm going to have to wear a dress to the next DoV and I don't wanna.

- Speaking of trousers -- I have this pair of cream velvet jeans that are my favorite pants ever. I wear them tucked into boots and I rule the world. Seriously. Anyway. I bought them like a decade go at the GAP. They are close to being on their last legs. I doubt I'll ever find a suitable replacement, but anyone got any leads? I mean, to make things slightly easier, they are at least women's jeans.

Watch Victoria's secret pants. You're off season for velour but right now they have a lot of off-white type corduroy that may be narrow wale enough to pass. Unfortunately it's boot cut but at least you have a tailor. Also, they are having a sale.

You're probably aware of this but the Italian post office is famous for being incredibly bad. It's easily the worst in Europe. Count yourself lucky if your letters make it to their destination at all. Twice that if they do so within the next few months.

Cream velvet jeans sounds fabulous. Particularly if sewn with gold thread. This (http://www.buy.com/prod/yellow-velvet-jeans/q/loc/18250/201759459.html)is the closest thing I found when googling but I don't think it's what you were looking for. :-/

I only became aware of it after the letters were mailed. In Sicily no less! They just have to get to Syria before she leaves on July 22/23.

Which trousers were you looking at on the Gentlemans Emporium website? Depending on the cut it might not be that difficult to take them in.

I don't have any leads on cream velvet jeans though.
