- I did sign up for that stick class on July 25/26 (don't worry, Patty, it's just a few hours a day and won't involve me getting out of bed early!)

- I still can't stop listening to Foreign Lander on repeat.

- Funny I-Am-Not-Cosplaying-at-Dragon-Con discussion with Jill, that has given me an idea for stuff I can wear that no one will know is costume, but that will keep me good-natured and snickering.

- Have I mentioned I have to be at work at 6am tomorrow and there won't really be time to go home and nap before fencing?

- I would really really like to have some time to do some writing tonight, but I don't think it's going to happen. I am trying to content myself with the knowledge that everything I've written lately has rocked in part because I had to sit and sit and sit with it before I produced it and that made it take up a lot of emotional space not just for me but for the reader.

- Dances of Vice festival tickets are not cheap. But I have a couple of freelance writing gigs this week that will mean I get those for Patty and I early next week.

- Really need to get home in time to do laundry tonight.

- Rewatching Torchwood season 1 -- general notes:
* the wardrobe people are either crazy or stupid (more than I already thought)
* In the first episode Jack is much more menacing than I remember him being.

- When will tomatoes stop being poisonous?

It's only certain kinds of tomatoes that are contaminated. Stay away from those and you're fine. Or, just be sure to wash them. I'm still eating tons of the things. I have an addiction to tomatoes that rears it's head during the summer.

everything I've written lately has rocked

Tomatoes on the vine are good, as are cherry and grape tomatoes. Those are tastier anyway.

So far the tomatoes on the vines (which are mad expensive) are OK since they are not processed. That is the only tomatoes I am letting into my house.

Ya know there are a number of Torchwood outfits one could do and not look like they are wearing a costume *grin*

For you: They aren't at the local greenmarkets. Buy local. NY state is safe. I think NJ is is.

For me: they will always be poisonous. Intolerances. *sad*

Thought Texas tomatoes were on the no-eat list.

Anyway, CA tomatoes appear to be OK, and I grow my own.

I am going to Dragon*con too!

Do a lot of people dress up but forgo full-on costumes? It's my first time going. I'm not planning on wearing jeans and t-shirts or anything like that, but I can't do the whole cosplay thing. I've been wondering about this...

Whenever you post about Patty it's so sweet, it's part of what's helped me remember to be more open to having a gf :) I feel like a dork saying that but it's true, you guys are dorkily inspirational.
