NYT on RTD
Jun. 15th, 2008 09:54 amThe New York Times, which almost never gets anything anymore (how often do I start hollering here when they write yet another unbelievably sexist or homoclueless article? how often do I just not even bother at this point?), has a great piece on Russel T. Davies and the whole Who/Torchwood/Sarah Jane thing. Some fab quotes about queer content in the media and about Jack.
Maybe I'll make my parents read it. Because really, everything would be funnier if they just blamed the nature of my existence on intergalactic space pirates.

Date: 2008-06-16 01:16 am (UTC)Given much of my fashion sense came from Jon Pertwee as the 3rd Doctor, I agree.
In any case, that was a surprisingly excellent article, and I continue to be impressed with RTD, and intrigued with what he'll do next.

Date: 2008-06-16 12:00 pm (UTC)Though I guess I never thought of Jack as a pirate. Still, I've only seen a handful of eps -- maybe when I get caught up I'll be thinking of him as a pirate too. And thanks for the link! The paper version is great, but I can bookmark the online version. :)
