Yes, I'm writing about a fucking Torchwood tie-in novel. Actually only have a second right now, but has anyone else read this? Because I just inhaled it and it kinda fucked me up. PMS or did it actually rattle anyone else?

I'm relatively sure of what happenedn (although which side is good or evil was lost on me pretty instantly and only got more lost), but it had a lot of throwaway moments that left me alternatively confused or moved (sometimes both). Including Ianto's tirade about his sexuality (which made me sad), possible future Jack and that "He was Ianto" line, which was supposed to mean what I'm not sure, but hit some weird PMS nerve in me (also, wow, Jack spends the first half of the book being an utter dick to him, and the second half of the book seems to hinge on how their true love will save the universe -- I'm not actually complaining, I just can't figure out how the writer more or less pulled that off).

I mean, was pleasantly surprised, really, but if I dream about that shit tonight, I'm gonna be pretty grumpy tomorrow.

Ianto's tirade about his sexuality was pretty funny, if a bit sad. I think it was the way it came about more than anything else.

It's a really twisted book. If you want really good TW tie-in, read 'Something in the Water' The character voices are spot-on, and it's a really well-developed plot.
