I have a tremendous amount to say about this (and will link in torch_wood when I get it done), but for now, I present coming out in the New York Times because of an intergalactic bisexual quasi-reformed con-artist.

I am so pleased with myself, but annoyed I missed it during the day and in the actual paper because I didn't realize arts & leisure had its own letters section. I suppose I will be forgiven for being a day late on this one though.

I am so glad they kept that and the use of "queer" -- I thought they might be squeamish, which would have defeated the purpose of what I was saying, both because of why the NYT annoys me and because of the nature of Torchwood.

They might be squeamish-- If they had time to think about it.

I think that they may be so bemused by the sudden cultural importance of British and Canadian taxpayer subsidised science fiction, that they haven't had time to be squicky about Teh Ghey yet.
Never underestimate the trans formative power of not understanding what is going on.:)
