- Sick passenger on train. An hour twenty with fencing bag on my back. Bad.

- Gorgeous day here.

- Kali finally got to the Face of Boe stuff. Excellent!

- The Albanian virgins living as men: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/25/world/europe/25virgins.html
Yes, I know. I've gotten it from five of you already, which is pretty rad.

- my Free Will Astrology (also sent by several of you).
Yes, I know. I sure like fighting, eh? I always giggle at the wrong parts.

- People will NEVER stop surprising me.

- I am oddly right with the world.

ETA:

- Well I was oddly right with the world until I was given a task at work that makes me challenge any assumptions of my intelligence I've ever had. Seriously, I have never felt this way before and I don't like it. I'm the brain, not the physical person. Er, I'm thinking, not so much. Why am I always the last to notice?

- [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller brings us sweet, epistolary Jack/Ianto time-travel paradox fic.

I LOVE THIS FIC, largely, because so much of my life with Patty involves letter writing and in a month will probably involve pausing in the doorway on my way home to read something she's writing me right now that I won't receive until she's back and it doesn't matter except it does. So yeah.

Also, there's a line that guts me. If you're really bored, see if you can find it.

- My braces are here. They are perfect. The world is now slightly shinier.

- Hey, have I mentioned how excited I am for this weekend? All time-traveling all the time. Friday night and Saturday day is 1940s, Saturday night and Sunday day is Regency. And it's Pride weekend?!?!? Ha. Love my fucking life. Wish Patty were home.

- My hair. What the fuck am I going to do with my hair this weekend? Cutting it is not an option for at least a while because of other obligations. Similarly, I should note that I feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable wearing a hat indoors when I'm dressed as a man (I may be crazy, but I was raised well). And it's not even remotely an option for the Regency event.

I don't know which one got you, but the one that got me was:

You should be home by now, and I think I came home with you. Get off the computer and go comfort me.

And all the little "I miss you while watching you eat a sandwich" oddities are just delicious. We should make Sam a batch of brownies or something. He's just too good.

For me it was Sometimes what we think is failure is exactly what our partner was looking for.

In fact pretty much the gist of that entire speech. I'd be a liar if I didn't say that nearly the entirety of my conscious life up until the last couple of years and perhaps just the last six months and perhaps even right this second hasn't been about me a) figuring that out and b) figuring out that most people don't speak as narratively as I do or as fictional people do and the only person who was going to be there to give me that speech was my damn self.

*sigh*, I've got about 30 days left 'til Patty comes home and my life syncs back up.
