rm- Patty has a weekend off and so is in a town, so we got to talk for ages today online and she got to hear the recording I did of Cheek to Cheek (which wasn't even a song she was actually familiar with more than faintly) for her and will be able to download the long voice letter I did for her last night later. It was a good happy thing.

- The HP fandom (or at least my corner of it) is about people trying to be really smart in the face of the end of the world. The DW/TW fandom is about being trying to have damn good time in the face of the end of the world, because that reminds you of why you've got to save it.

Date: 2008-07-04 05:53 pm (UTC)2. i am having flashbacks of late-night wanderings through the streets of Storied University Town with a group of slightly tipsy folks, singing that very song, and one member of the group stopping and annoucing that she had to piss like a racehorse, and everyone breaking into completely hysterical giggles. it's an excellent song for many, many occasions.
