Right. So just finished Human Nature/Family of Blood.

I can't decide if I can't articulate about it or don't wwant to. But among, many, many other things, there was a moment that so perfectly captured my experience of anguish as a writer (specifically what I was trying to describe after I wrote the first Annie story and couldn't do anything for a couple of days after) ....

*shudder*

I'm right there with you. My only problem with the end of Family of Blood was that I'd have been much happier if Tim had been true to his convictions had been a medic or something similar in the War. Seeing him become a soldier after his (and the Doctor's talk about peace) bothered me a great deal.

Blink was perhaps one of the two or three best Doctor Who episodes ever. OTOH, I definitely enjoyed Utopia, but thought that last two were less good (and found most of the last episode to be utterly ludicrous)

Yes! When I first saw the episode, I really expected that this was what he would do. I remember being surprised to see him on the battlefield as a soldier.

Not everyone got to be a medic. It was very competitive, because it was marginally less dangerous. In the end, they sent a lot of boys over who would rather not be carrying a gun. But as Tim said, if you think it's important enough to fight for...
