- Right now, Patty will be arriving 3 hours later, which sucks, as she'll be even more tired and we'll lose the evening.

- Finished Doctor Who, series 3. Lots to process there. Woah. Now at least I get why people write really dirty porn featuring the Master. Also, great, GREAT use of pop music. And loving the Jack/Doctor ex-bf drama. I mean, really!

- Next story in the TW series I am doing with Kali is almost done. It's batshit insane and scorching hot.

- Paid bills. Booked cable repair appointment.

So, the really cracktastic part is that I can't find any attraction for the new Master, because I fell so very very very hard for the old Master, all three versions of him (but of a much more consistent mold than the Doctor).

That hypnotic thing? He used to be positively Svengalian, and I'm quite certain that Jo Grant, who traveled with the third Doctor, deliberately went out of her way to get hypnotized by him as often as possible.

He had that self-contained, very controlled madness usually reserved for your better class of conscience-free vampires, and I wanted him before I consciously knew what sexual attraction even meant, let alone S&M. I like the new guy and all, but I can't make him match in my head the way I can from Doctor to Doctor. Jacobi, I could see him being a form of the Master I knew. It broke my heart to see him as that human, almost identical in affect to the Doctor's first incarnation, just a nice, brilliant, self-absorbed recluse. What he might have been.

New guy, too much of a jump. Too bad, because I have no compunctions about sexin' up the Master, while to my three-year-old's heart the Doctor is strictly off-limits. But a cool character, and he kept the Master's sense of long-term planning, which has never been a strong point of the other villains.
