Saturday, Montauk Club, options:

- Jack (okay, I keep doing this look, but it's both easy and fun and Patty's back which means I can dance with someone I can actually dance with in that outfit -- highly tempting -- also there may be a new iteration of it by Saturday. And, oh yeah, people are hilarious around me when I dress like this).
- a kludge of a Baroque gentleman's outfit (on theme!)
- 1940s girl, dressy
- 1940s girl, not dressy (because I am so hot like this, and it's comfortable and funny and since it will be my main mode of presentation at Dragon*Con worth getting used to).

Random consideration: may be last chance for polaroid portraiture.
Really random fifth option that syncs with random consideration: I saw a dressin Forever 21 in Chicago that I didn't buy that reminded me of Annie so much I almost photographed it. I could see if it's in stock here.

Sunday, big club night thing, options:

- Black gown worn at Terminus (easy and hot)
- the last three choices of the above
Main consideration: changing into outfit after fashion show.

Thoughts?

Wait, which day are you in the Fashion Show?

Crap, I thought you were modelling on Saturday. Okay, maybe I need to see if I've got a sick day stashed somewhere that I can use on Monday.

Oh.

I'm in the same boat as Marci, then. :(

I would vote for 1940s girl (dressy or casual) just because I think it wouold stand out more amongst various incarnations of Baroque around you. Also, it's easier for you to do your hair this way. What is Patty wearing? Can you coordinate? Another option, you as Jack and Patty as 1940s girl.

I'm actually only going to make it to the Saturday event, work on Monday prevents me from attending Sunday's revelry. My plan right now is to wear Alan's regency tailcoat and waistcoat(I just need to move the buttons on both), my new riding pant-like trousers from H&M, and black boots. I know that's sort of stealing your look but I don't have many other options remotely close to Baroque and right now I don't feel like wearing my regency ball gown.

Well note my Regency stuff isn't even on my list... so totally do not worry about it. Just be prepared for people to ask you stupid questions.

I was thinking of seeing if any of my 40s-ish dresses fit Patty (which I don't think they will) and perhaps doing butch-femme retro-lesbian thing too.

Hmm, hadn't thought about the polaroid thing. I thought that Shanghai Vice was the last time she was going to do it. A Jack and Annie photo would be priceless. What did the dress at Forever 21 look like? I was just at the Union Square one yesterday.

All 1940s all the way. I know I am biased, but you also just do it so well. And yes get Patty in cahoots.

I vote for dancing with Patty.

It's still really hard to blithely use someone's first name like that. I do not believe that I have that much Southerner in me.
Or not enough to go with Ms. Patty. Wrongness
So what would be more comfortable?

On the Internet, a first name only is less familiar than the use of the last time of a private stranger in many ways.

However, her LJ is [livejournal.com profile] wordsofastory

Forever 21 might also have it on their web site, if there's time (or you want it anyway but not in time). One can't try it on that way, but one needn't fight through racks of teenagers to do so either.

You know my general thoughts re: the most comfortable option.
Without violating that policy myself, I have something hilarious in the works for Saturday. See you there!
