- Despite many reasons that I should probably wait until Monday, I think I am going back to fencing tonight.

- Hey, WTC weather came early this year. I've realized now, it's the aftermath of hurricanes.

- I've been listening to Voodoo Child on repeat for three days.

- Impending Dragon*Con is freaking me out.

- Gallifrey One is gonna be so rad. I know know why, but I know in my soul, I'm going to make a really disturbing Lucy Saxon. That probably merits some examination.

- You know what I'm doing today, other than scads of work? Edits on the next piece of I Had No Idea I Had Been Traveling. It makes me want to die. Seriously. It's the most horrible process.

I remember Fall of 2001 very clearly as EERILY good weather. Bright skies, crisp air, lovely temperatures that went on for months. The unvarying, endless Indian Summer made it seem even more like the disaster and its aftermath happened out of time, and we were in the Twilight Zone.

I had much the same impression.

God, yes. I remember sitting in Washington Square Park in November and it being in the 60s. Eerie.

WTC weather

I never made that association before, yet you are absolutely right.

Dammit.

BABY BABY BABY...

...thank you. Now it's stuck in my head again.

Oh? Now I'm all curious!

PS - I routinely have "Voodoo Child" stuck in my head. I can sympathize.

I dunno. I just -get- women who think they are being all noble and enduring but are really batshit crazy and power hungry and suffering at their own hand. They're pretty much the only type of female character I'm ever drawn to, in fact. Which, again, doesn't say much for me.

And considering I tend to bring the performance to the cosplay (see: twin stewardesses incident in elevator at Terminus while dressed like Jack)... I'm sure I'll find something wacky to do with good ol' Lucy.

I'll volunteer to be the Master if you do Lucy.

Okay, that sounded a lot less creepy before I wrote it down. Sorry.

Oh it's fine. We are totally creepy cosplay buddies.

And word.

*nod*

I liked Lucy, and always believed she was madder than a convention of hatters long before she encountered Harry Saxon.

I can't wait to see what you come up with at Gallifrey. ;)

Oh yeah. there's no way I believe he did that to her. Rather, I think she thought she found her match because they were both CRAZY and really into it.

..And yet I'm very surprised you're connecting with her character.
Where is your brain taking you with her?

*hugs* I don't know nothing 'bout birthin' babies, miz scarlett. I guess it's not really like birthing babies. I guess we already did that part - that's more of a first draft metaphor. Maybe like picking out lice? No.

What is wrong with my brain?????

Anyway, this too shall pass.

FYI, I am asking you questions in all caps in a few places -- I have some British usage concerns you're better at finding the answers to.

NP. I love the talking across the fic in all caps. For some reason, it makes me giggle.

Fencing. Tonight. Yes.

Tell your body to shut the hell up and just deal with it for a couple of hours. You'll thank me afterwards.

(Your body will, on the other hand, find ways to make you pay for it.)
