- fencing tonight

- work

- tired (now it sets in)

- Palin. Must write about Palin.

- Would someone please call Torchwood about this?

- speaking of Torchwood two things:

1. Out of Time is a bloody stellar episode. It's extremely well-written to the acting talents of the cast, and the show even when it is well-written (which is certainly not always the case) doesn't always write with the strengths and weaknesses of its performers in mind. Pretty much a perfect episode though.

2. Okay. I now know at least two people who have ordered in pizza as Torchwood. Seriously? I still feel guilty when I have to give a fake name because my real one is too hard for them to get a handle on. I feel like I'm missing out on some common insanity. Do you give the pizza people strange names and in-jokes when you get delivery?

Not necessarily. If *she* resigns, citing personal reasons or whatever, McCain is then absolutely free and clear to choose someone else, avoiding a floor fight at the RNC. Which would have absolutely happened if he had gone with either Lieberman or Ridge, which two he absolutely preferred to anyone else.

I feel terrible saying this as a Jewish person, but Lieberman? Still a Jew. Also ran with Al Gore. That's never gonna fly with the Republicans even if it means Palin's gone..

HAHAHA.

I feel like that should be in an Adam Sandler song. A political version of The Chanukah Song, if you will.

Exactly. But McCain loooooooooves him...

Ooh, good point.

I don't think she'll resign, though. If she resigns, that's it, game over. She'll never work in politics again. Not that I think she'll have much of a chance after this last week *anyway*, but if she walks away from this, it'll be her and her guns on her porch in Alaska. That's it.

McCain's gonna have to be the one to make the choice. Gosh, is that a terrifying thought.

Have you seen the latest Bristol pics? Typical teen stuff, but posting with a bottle of Captain Morgan's and making gang signs? Not so good.

Icon.

I really did just make that face.

Man, Palin's battleship is sunk.

If she resigns, everyone will believe it's because McCain (or the party apparatchiks) told her to resign. And McCain will have to choose someone at least as right-wing as Palin to replace her, or there'll be another floor fight.

Possibly, but he can claim that wasn't the case. And after the RNC, no floor fight :)

I dunno. Just speculation on my part. I'm just still gobsmacked at the lack of vetting. I expected a more religious type VP choice for obvious reasons, but this?
