Can I just say how frightening I find the Republican convention?

Open religious hatred and chants of "USA" that sound angry rather than proud. I am sincerely, sincerely, completely creeped the fuck out by this. I wish I didn't think it sounded high strung when I say I feel unsafe listening to this shit.

I have to admit to being avoidant and simply not watching it. I feel like I will be so enraged I will have a aneurysm or be so frightened I won't be able to sleep.
