sundries, now in paragraph form
Sep. 9th, 2008 11:21 amIt's storming like the end of out the world out there, and thanks, I've already been out in one hurricane this week, and I actually do, now that our furniture has been delivered, need to leave the house. I'm waiting, in hopes it lightens up a little, but it's whipcrack and guns thunder out there and there's no umbrella in the world that would keep me dry from this shit.
Fencing was good last night (and I think I still owe a write up on the class _before_ Dragon*Con), but I am still feeling like I need to find a way back down into it. Maybe I don't. Maybe I am naturally and correctly done with that phase of my relationship to this thing. I don't know. I didn't feel pissed off all class though, so I suppose I am making progress with my shit.
I'm really looking forward to listening to the TW radio play later today, although I don't expect much from it -- more educational about the CERN thing, no doubt, than plotty craziness.
Patty's back in school and made a major deadline yesterday. I'm adjusting to her being busy and tired (as I am sure she is herself), but all in all it seems less agonizing than last semester. I'm glad to have her here.
Meanwhile, hotel reservations have been made for the Regency Ball, so life is more or less in order, although there are a few other events we need to book stuff for.
The next Dances of Vice is going to be a Baroque/Glam Rock theme, which means it'll be time to drag out the Brian Slade costume again. I'm thrilled. It is, however, also the same weekend as a fencing tournament, so that's likely to be a little weird and crazy for me.
Speaking of weird and crazy, let's talk about February 2009. Patty will be in Oman, meanwhile I will be:
- going to a Regency tea dance in Boston
- flying out to LA for Gallifrey One (and perhaps some respectable acting meetings if I'm feeling sensible and in the mood to be told to lose five pounds or that in France I'd actually be attractive, which, you know, I'm probably not. I hate LA.)
- taking a weekend off
- going to our Bustle Ball in New Haven.
Expect me to be non-fuctional by March 1.
