Short version: Palin uses Yahoo account to evade gov't transparency laws; email account then gets hacked and contents are posted to the Internet. Account is then deleted, possibly by Palin, possibly violating more law in the process.

The part of my brain that used to work for a big internet company and handle legal and abuse cases involving stuff like this is running around the room screaming right now.
