Skiffy Awards
Sep. 19th, 2008 07:17 pmNeed good TW fic to read that hasn't necessarily been rec'd by the good people at
torchwood_house yet?
You may want to check out
skiffy_awards or more usefully Skiffy Awards which is one of those random fanfic awards things. What's nice about this one is that it's multi-fandom (Stargate: SG-1/Atlantis, Supernatural, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer/Angel, Dr. Who/Torchwood/The Sarah Jane Adventures, Star Trek TOS/TNG, Batman) and character focused.
Dear Captain, Last Night I Slept in Mutiny... got nominated in the Torchwood: Jack Harkness: Romance category. Which is a little funny as it's sort of a brutal fic. I mean, Kali and I think it's sweet, but I'm not sure we thought anyone else did.
Voting, if you're so inclined, is also open until Sept. 30, and all the info on how to do that is on the links up top. There's some seriously lovely stuff nominated. Much of it you're probably familiar with because it's by authors who are well known in the fandom, but there are some nice surprises, and I was happy to get to vote for several of my all time favorite stories and a few members of my LJ social circle.
