For some, it perhaps is a choice...you are bi with stronger leanings one way or the other and you choose gay relationships. Or you are straight, as far as you know...but then you fall in love with a person or soul who happens to be the same gender as you are, and you choose to honor that relationship...There is some scientific evidence that there are anatomical differences between gay and straight brains...so biologically for some, there is no real choice except to live as who you truly are...or to live a lie.
but whatever...choice or not a choice...in a truly accepting society, it would not matter.
