Authors' Notes: This is a part of our Jack/Ianto series, I Had No Idea I Had Been Traveling. While it can be considered a prequel, it is in this position in the arc (after significant Jack/Ianto relationship development) for a timey-whimey reason, which will become clear later. You don't have to read the rest of the series to read this though. However, if you are reading that, you should read this, as it will be useful/relevant later.

(Jack couldn't quite shake the feeling that he'd wandered into someone else's story.)

Personal note: I don't understand Time Lords. Kali does, thankfully. This was a slog to write and under difficult circumstances. When it finally came together, it made me cry (meaning: I'm really very pleased).

Tomorrow? CERN fluff for those of you anxious for us to get back to the Jack/Ianto part of this tale.

Just wanted to say -- haven't been reading this series because I don't think I'm up on Torchwood enough (having just finished season 2, I'm going to go back & double check) but I read this one since it was all season 1 (new) Dr. Who.

...and WOW! I should say I read very little fan fic anymore, having burnt out on its excesses some time ago, but you two hit every nuance perfectly... Thank you.

Thank you so much. You should be fine for most of the rest of the series, although the most recent piece in it is post Season four of Doctor Who -- everything else is either totally made up by us or references stuff you've seen.

OK, I just went back through and read the earlier written stuff. Needless to say I haven't gotten much else done all today *shakes fist in general eastern direction*. I stopped at the last installment since I haven't seen DW4 (that's me, always lagging due to DVD). Lovely, lovely, lovely stuff...
