- Hello, LJ!
- While LJ was down, I did work, but also dumb shit like playing with Facebook (why, oh why, does anyone think this is a reasonable information dissemination system?) and having odd chitchat in email that eventually devolved into cracky RPS about GDL and Robert Pattison commiserating about having screaming fans. Um, it didn't make sense, but it was Really Funny.
- Patty heads up to Boston tomorrow, but will be back Friday night so that she can attend my fencing tournament on Saturday morning. Then it's a nap and Dances of Vice!
- This marks the beginning of all busy all the time until she leaves for Oman. This week it's Boston, next week she's to Ohio for Turkey Day, the weekend after that, we're in CT for a ball, then it's probably about 10 more days before she's to Ohio for the holidays, and then I'll head out there on the 26th, then it's back to NY on the 1st and her probably leaving for Oman on the 2nd.
- Aggravating and embarrassing morning involving calling the totally wrong Eric (of the many Eric's in my cellphone) over a work drama. I would like to hide now.
- My mother finally told my father about the robbery, and they are considering replacing the camera for Christmas. That's not exciting, but it's a logistical load off my shoulders, if nothing else. I still find I can't really think about the robbery, if my mind gets near it, a wall comes right up. Apparently, my subconscious has finally figured out how to protect me form my self-hatred. I just wish I wasn't quite so aware of it.

Date: 2008-11-18 08:46 pm (UTC)Beats me, but I don't have an account.
The number of times where I or someone I know has been directed to a link to a picture on Facebook, only to be turned away because I don't have a FB account (and have no intention of getting one)...?
Yipes, that's a busy-busy time indeed. *hugs*

Date: 2008-11-19 04:01 am (UTC)The thought of that kid having my computers, my cameras, my son's precious guitars...that he might still have them...tears me up if I think about it.
So many times I've considered banging on that kid's door. I haven't done it--my son said let it go, his friends at school have made that kid's life hell. That to him was enough. I don't think it was.
Hope you got good recompense from insurance--that you did have it. I was not able to replace everything.
Facebook--I avoid it. I don't WANT to be found by people in my past...no thanks.
