- It's snowing

- The absence of Patty is deeply peculiar, even as we're more used to the patterns of her comings and goings with both the holidays (we planned in advance!) and her dig this year. Expect me to be more mopey about this after she leaves the country.

- My mther's retirement means the end of the unbelievable discounts at the famous jewlery store. Which means I think I have to go there for some of my holiday shopping this year. I am so behind.

- Wow, I should really write my Yuletide fic, since it's due tomorrow.

-IHNIIHBT. Jesus fucking Christ. This story is making me shed a lot of complicated timey-wimey tears. It'll be making me shed a lot of Editing Is Evil tears soon.

- Random strangers on LJ need to not confuse irritation with cowardice. It's not even noon and some asshole called me a coward!

Pfui. Fail. There may be a number of cowards on the internet, but you are certainly not one.

Good luck with Yuletide!

Woah. I'm just leaving for work now. Thanks for the heads up -- I'll buy some proper boots on the way in, as opposed to my $20, no traction firefly wannabe boots.

I need a usericon just for you now.

You could just put your current one upside down, like Flounder is on the ceiling, which is what I keep picturing.

I know what I am doing with my snowy afternoon.

Let's mope together.

Yup. It's weird, we're so used to the drill now, but it makes it harder as well as easier. At least I have a book to write while she's gone.

On a whim this morning, I picked up The Village Voice.

On January 20th, Reel Big Fish is playing with one of J's favorite bands.

I can't decide if it would be worse to go or not go. :(

(I really like both bands as well.)

Alas, famous jewelry store. I use those glasses whenever I am drinking something these days.

It is kind of funny, the things you gave me then are the only things that I keep using/wearing. I trashed/lost/put away everything else.

I know you guys broke a lot of glasses, so I always wondered about those. They were for you anyway, even when I liked him.

Been there as well.

Irritation. Silence. Other things that have nothing to do with cowardice have been perceived as such.

I'm not sure how that type of thinking works.

I think people need user manuals sometimes.

Wow, I should really write my Yuletide fic, since it's due tomorrow.

Boy, that sounds familiar. 440 words to go!

(Of course, then there’s the other story, due last week, that I haven’t even started. FAIL.)

Random strangers on LJ

Would these be.... random anonymous strangers?
Feh. The mind set the misreads courtesy as a sign of weakness, and misconstrues boorishness as a sign of strength, is quite predictably going to regard anything other than it's own frothing dementia as a sign of cowardice.
They always say "you haven't got the guts!"
Then you shoot them, and they seem annoyed.
