I was functional reading the article until the coats. Then I was crying.

Relative of mine met the owners of six of those coats, and the notes meant an order of magnitude more than the coats, which meant rather a lot. "The Yanks will come,you know, they always do."
I'm crying now, and I don't care who knows it. They're good tears.
