The boots, hilariously are from Forever 21 (cheap store with clothes for like college age folks), but we were in one in Ohio, and they had these fantastic boots. The nice thing about brown is cheap can look weathered.

Hey, if it works, it works.

I have a pair of 1858 style US Cavalry boots that I got made in Mexico about ten years ago now. I haven't worn them much in recent years, but they're still good. I did put a pair of Dr. Sholls sport insoles into them, which made a huge difference in comfort.

I still regret not getting custom boots done when I was in Australia (which is apparently a thing to do there because of the awesome exchange rate).
