SJA question
Jan. 23rd, 2009 11:28 amBecause I'm working on a proposal for something and I've only watched The Sarah Jane Adventures here and there, can anyone tell me if there are any episodes I need to watch because they pertain to the use of media/public relations?
Thnx.
Thnx.

Date: 2009-01-23 04:49 pm (UTC)And Sarah Jane is a journalist. So there's a lot of getting past things because she's "writing a story." The first ep, Invasion of the Bane (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_the_Bane) has a lot of stuff about market analysis. And, there's a lot of stuff re: advertising and recruitment all through series 1.
And I haven't seen series 2, so can't comment.

Date: 2009-01-23 06:04 pm (UTC)In addition to the ones already mentioned, there's a Season Two two-parter - "Secrets of the Stars" whose storyline involves a failed astrologer possessed by cosmic forces, who deliberately uses media interest in his suddenly spookily accurate clairvoyance to spread his (alien) messaging - for example, press interest enables him to get a slot on an afternoon TV show about the paranormal, that in turn enables him to use the studio's broadcasting facilities to... do other stuff.
Wiki synopsis here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secrets_of_the_Stars) if you're short of watching time. It's a good pair of eps, though. As pretty much all of them have been for both seasons, indeed!
