Ianto (

An incident with a water bottle, some unstable luggage and the fact that Jill is a fucking precog in the hotel lobby led to our Ianto having to mop up the floor a bit.

The facial expressions in this are just priceless. Thanks to the guys for being such good sports.

Now this is how you do that.

Maybe the one taken on the official camera a second later will be better. Anyway, I was tortured about it (just that I was so freaked) for like five minutes. Now I'm vaguely amused.

Dalek just before trying to exterminate Captain Jack (that would be me). It yelled at me and everything. It was awesome.

Nerdy Owen and Slutty Tosh.

Date: 2009-02-18 09:49 am (UTC)What pattern did you use for the coat and overcoat for Ten. Ophymirage (friend, beta, and fellow costumer) has promised to help me with muslins and tailoring, but I will confess to being much more comfy with girl patterns than boystuff.
*is thoroughly enjoying this nd the other updates*

Date: 2009-02-19 12:43 am (UTC)The dw_cosplay community has a couple of links to tutorials for the overcoat and the suit. I have blue/red pinstripe fabric that I intend to turning into another suit using this pattern: http://www.simplicity.com/dv1_v4.cfm?design=3708
Life got complicated over the past three months and the suit was not ready in time for Gallifrey but I do intend of finishing it for future cosplay events.

Date: 2009-02-19 06:58 am (UTC)Okay, I think I already own that one. If not, that's a piece of cake to find. And the lines AND pockets are right -- when I was at both the London and the Cardiff DW exhibitions (yeah, I got to do both in one trip. It ROCKED!) I was able to get up close and personal with ten's outfit. I LOVE the brown suit, and am committed to doing a version of it.
BTW, for the overcoat, there are 3 gathered seams in the back to make it tailored ever so nicely to that Gallifreyan bum. You can't really tell on the show, and I'd just thought it was the one central gathered seam.
*looks around, chagrinned* As if being a purveyor of Whovian smut weren't nerd enough, I'm a costume geek too.
I'm completely serious, though, fo you or anyone else. If you're coming to ComicCon, keep in touch offlist -- we'll invade, Time Lord style.
I may also be competing in my first ComicCon Masquerade. (I took two Judge's Choice awards at ConJose = WorldCon a coupla years back.)
