- Work.

- Some other work.

- Work on two fics (Tardis Big Bang fic, which I'm finally starting to get a handle on, and the poly!curtains!fic with Kali).

- Possibly go see the movie I'm in. Because dude, I'm a totally an asshole if I don't go see my head five feet tall and luminous and my name in the credits. I mean, it's Sam Mendes. It'll be good. The thing is, I'd rather go see The Reader. Sigh.

- Also, this is the first year in FOREVER, I've got no Oscar plans. I'm a little miffy about that. Maybe I'll try to throw something together last minute.

- Patty will be home in less than a month. I'm ready. I'm really ready.

- Hey, next weekened is the Bustle Ball. Last year I was down on my knees in a tailcoat scrubbing scuffmarks off the floor at the end of it and making Ianto jokes. That's actually how [livejournal.com profile] marchek got cajoled into watching Torchwood. Oddly, I'm feeling enthused about the event because I'm expecting my own inner landscape to be just as silly, even if people are trying to get me to wear a dress.

- Oh, which makes me realize that's the same night at the 1930s thing at Marion's, so hey, guess I'm not going to that. I really need some first half of the 20th century nonsense to do with folks though sooner rather than later, but schedules are a bit collidey right now it seems.

- You know what's awesome in a non-high quality chocolate way? See's Candies. It's what's for breakfast.

Dude. Go see Revolutionary Road, already.

(Though, yes, the reader is great too.)

You're in Revolutionary Road? That's one of my favorite novels and I wasn't even aware the film was coming out so soon.

Wow. Congratulations!

Yeah. My first big time screen credit. Film's been out since late December, but I keep putting it off.

Thanks!

We're having some friends over for the Oscars if you're up to the schlep.

[livejournal.com profile] marchek and I saw it; it was good, although I kept imagining the ten years younger Clive Owen in DiCaprio's role. (At one point, the light on you in the danceclub briefly turned green; there may have been chuckling from our part of the theater.)

I saw it without knowing you were in it and I recognized you! And verified it when your name was in the credits. You are very distinctive on screen, even though it was a darkly lit room and people were moving.

(longtime on-off lurker, so I did know you do movie extra work)

I think it totally awesome that you are in a big movie, a good movie based on a good book.
I think it's totally awesome that it got nominated for an Oscar.(Incidentally, I solemnly swear that I've never noticed before that the Oscar statue is holding a sword. Never had that much reason to care before, really.)
But I think that it's totally, totally awesome that you wanted to see The Reader first.
If you word it right, I think you still have something interesting to tell them about yourself, after you learn to drive.
Good luck tonight, health to you and yours, great happiness, and obscene amounts of fortune and glory.
