amazing grace guy
Feb. 26th, 2009 12:14 amAmazing grace guy was on the subway again just now. The man across from me in a Yankees cap and jacket started crying and even with the guy gone hasn't stopped. All these years later and I still assume it's 9/11.
This time someone gave the man change and he seemed more willing to make the nature of why he was there clearer after that. I gave him a dollar and he thanked me, one hand up to his face in prayer. He waited and thanked me again once eye contact was made. Connection always matters. He came to thank me three separate times, saying, "Thank you. Gratitude'" each of them.
