Monday, I'm getting measurements done for The Atticus (http://www.duchessclothier.com/scotchbasic/ and click on the correct one). I have no idea what I'm thinking about fabric right now. Am I too skinny for narrow pinstripes? This will be easier when I am not looking at fabric on my damn monitor, but actually looking at fabric although I'm mainly thinking a solid black with texture or possibly black with a narrow pinstripe and while I'd like something a dark charcoal grey, I don't think this is it.

Date: 2009-03-14 11:22 pm (UTC)as for pinstripes - they can be good on thin people, especially if they're subtle - instead of a white on black, look for maybe a heather grey on black or even a red or royal blue on black if you're ok with a less traditional fabric choice
another good option for your build would be a black-on-black herringbone - there's a very subtle vertical line in the fabric but not as obvious as the pinstripe (the modified renaissance era cassock i wear as a coat is made of a suit weight version of this - i love the way it drapes and moves)
