I started reading the comments and couldn't quit. ha. I don't know her but shadesong appears to be at the top of the do not read list which must mean that an awful lot of those people have read her journal.
(I spent 45 minutes basically skimming the comments, finding, so far, only one person who could be loosely construed as being withing my social (but not my LJ!) circle.)
Wow. What a thread. My bet is those on the list will get read to see if they really are that bad. It's kind of like drinking something, coughing, saying "Gawd! This is awful. Try it." Then, people immediately do and grimace.
Weird and scary. I read the first four pages, skimmed the next seven. It's creepy, in that "hearing people in the restaurant booth next to you have a fight" sort of way.
Also odd, in that it clearly shows me what lots of time devoted to sniping at other people looks and sounds like to an outsider. Most of the people I hang out with these days look for positive stuff to talk about, and don't go on at such great lengths about the negative, so this is startling.
