You! I had a question for you! You were the one who posted about West Wing fan fiction ages ago, right? Did you find any that wasn't blazingly awful? And had an actual plot?
Actually, I did. I really enjoyed nomadicwriter's stuff -- it's gen, pretty much, but good, and she has the Sorkin voice down really well, to the extent that I didn't notice she's a Brit. therealjae has good stuff too, but I read it in a frame of mind where I was requiring external validation in form of a ree-lay-shun-ship, and the really interesting stuff she explores with Sam/Josh was in the wrong place for me. I enjoyed eolianbeck's stuff too. I'd start with Nomad's, though, because that's the one I enjoyed most. It's epic in the Mercedes Lackey sense, though, so give yourself some time.
