Amazon removes rankings from books with homosexual characters, including from at least one YA book, because they don't wish to include "adult" content in their rankings out of respect to the range of their membership.

Queer content does not inherently equal sexual or "adult" content.

We've got a big problem on our hands with this one.

1. So far it seems to be scattershot.

2. Congratualtions on having the privilege to make light of this. Not the time or place.

I'm not making light of it. Writing gay erotica in one of the main ways I pay my bills and my female partner has a book that is being sold on Amazon where 90 percent of the characters are gay.

So, I'm hardly privileged and could stand to lose a good deal of money over this.

Instead, I was pointing out how ridiculous it would be for them to try it since the most popular series of books of the modern era (and a huge income stream for Amazon) has a gay man running a school for children.
