this (via [livejournal.com profile] gement) and that (from [livejournal.com profile] jonquil).

it is always the GLBTQ books, the queer books, the non-normative books that get caught in the glitches, the ham-fisted errors.

Also: most corporate bookstores have taken to burying RPG books. The stated reason is high theft.

It is only with great restraint that I do not correctly reshelve the RPG books and graphic novels at my local B&N.

In regards to horror in particular, I have tried explaining to the stores several times that if I am given the opportunity to comfortably browse in my area of interest the chances of my continuing to patronize that store AND spending more money there increase exponentially. If I know what I want I'm going to go to some place like Amazon because I know it will be in stock and probably at a good discount and that's the only thing I'm going to purchase.
