... I'd never heard of the film before you mentioned it.

Intriguing.

The Twilight people will go nuts. The people who hate Twilight will go nuts because one could argue this is further adventures in Robert Pattison trying to get the hell out of doing more Twilight. There are corners of fandom, that when they hear about this will become incoherent, yes.

You refer to the conservation Christian wing of Twilight fandom? (Only vaguely know about the phenomenon, via occasional guilty lurking at FWank...)

Well, yes and also just the corners of fandom that want to watch Pattison kiss boys.

Coulda sworn I typed "conservative," not "conservation"...

Not a Twilight fan, either - and I'm just glad that Pattinson is managing to have a versatile acting career; the last thing he needs is to be typecast as a sparkly vampire.

Lorca/Dali?

I haven't had occasion to blog about Little Ashes, but I have been cackling in anticipation for some time.

I saw an ad for it in the Advocate (student health here has it in the waiting room, which I find very endearing) and seriously loled because it looked like RPattz's mustache was sharpied on. I actually took a photo of it with my cell phone for [livejournal.com profile] automaticdoor.

Thanks! There's many more where that came from. Google Super Troll Sunday + icons, they should come up.

It'll be fun to watch the heads going splodie! ;-p

I'll have to keep an eye out for the movie, as it looks intriguing. Dali is a favorite artist of mine.

I heard/read about that a couple of months ago. Though, now that you mention it, I'm surprised there wasn't more squeeing/excitment/OMGing going on. Clearly my reach into fandom is not that great. :0)

Lorca! Oooh. (Mainly because I adore "Lorca's Novena.")

Other than that, eh. I have no particular opinion on Pattinson, although it's nice to see the creepy appearance is Twilight-specific rather than innate.

I sort of love this. Digging Pattinson with the moustache to an inexplicable degree, never having given half a toss about him previously. Of course, it helps that Garcia Lorca and I go way back.

Oooooh. Preeeeeeettttttty.

I knew about the movie, and I knew about the events in the life of Dali, and so I should have been prepared, but OH MY. Boys kissing in the water. Oh, damn.

You know, I am surprised I haven't heard about it more from other sources (I think it was mentioned in some interview I read somewhere online and I went to IMDB and checked it out, but never posted about it). I'm not a Twilight fan, though I do plan to watch the movie at some point and I have copies of the books that I will probably read at some point too. My liking for Robert came through Cedric of course.

But yeah, one would think there'd be a little squee about it. Odd, now I think about it.

Also the movie itself sounds interesting to me. I like movies about artists - possibly because I'm also an Andy Warhol fan and he has had a few movies made about him, and also The Yellow House, about Van Gogh, with John Simm, was very good.

I've been squeeing over this movie since I was calling it the 'Cedric is Dali flick'. It's gonna be great!
