Right, so. Tomorrow is Dances of Vice. I've already paid for my ticket and I _am_ going.

But, Patty is out of town. Marci is headed in from a different direction (assuming she gets over whatever is plaguing her currently). Jill's in Texas.

And I'm like "oh shit!" as I'm bad at social things alone and there is, really, actually, totally trepidation about wearing the suit out for the first time because my experience of cross-dressing out in the world, as opposed to at cons or parties or whatever is people say weird shit and can sometimes be really aggressive and unpleasant. Must bring book for reading on train.

So who is going to Dances of Vice?

We're not going 'cause we're seeing Leonard Cohen tomorrow night (woo!) but I have to say I've never gotten shit for wearing a suit from anyone at DoV. Quite the reverse. And not really on the train either; there was one crazy guy who insisted that he was Jesus because God had told him not to be gay at summer camp or something, but that was pretty peripheral to us. Mostly people mind their own. With respect to DoV itself -- considering it's pajama party/lingerie night, if there's going to be any inappropriateness I reckon it'll be directed at people in skivvies, not in suits.
