He's going on about the perfection of Leonard Nimoy's teeth.

Asking GDL about being fannish and who he's enjoyed meeting a con: Robert Englund. Says he'd like to meet Christopher Lee.

Everyone is bitching about the time. Someone hands GDL a coke, he asks where the vodka is... then grumbles about the aftermath of a party last night, chugs the soda and declares "we are here."

Another can of cola is brought up. "What the fuck is this? Clover Valley Cola? I'll wait to have that til I'm depserate. New and improved flavor, what was the original?"

Says he wants to go to Tibet to work as an actor.

Then says he'd like to go to Peru, blah blah blah Inca stuff and going on about the travesty of the Spanish invasion of the Inca empire. Talks about his romanticized view of all this. Really sorta fascinating. Meanwhile, I'm thinking, he could totally play a Spaniard in a movie about all this.

People keep bringing him cokes from backstage. This is getting a bit stupid.

So yeah on about Peru. Interviewer says he took the train up to the Inca stuff. Gareth's like "Pussy. I want to walk the whole thing."

Uhoh... GDL says "do you want to learn an Inca song?"

Now he's splitting us into three sections. This is really freaky... Okay... we're still working on this.

This is seriously what the fuck. And I cannot possibly describe what is happening here. Oh please someone be recording this, because I cannot possibly try to transcribe this.... OMG WTF.... I can't decide if this is cool or the set-up to some horrible joke that I am too stupid to detect because I am SO FUCKING TIRED.

Oh, now he's trying to set up a round.

WHAT THE FUCK.

This has been going on for like five minutes now.

"It means please don't see our gold and kill our women, you Spanish bastards."

Okay..... moving on.

He's going on about how evil the Spaniards are. Still.

"Any excuse to get his cock out, Michael Palin."

"It's too early to argue."

Really liked working with director who directed "Cybergirl" (dude, it's Cyberwoman). Then sings praises of Euros Lynn at great length. "Euros knew how to speak everyone's language." "Totally brilliant."

Talks about how Freema was awesome and how the Torchwood cast picked on her a lot. Says he has an "ironically sexist" sense of humor. Oh dear.

Now talking about JM... shared trailer with JM. Makes fun of JM playing guitar in the trailer at 8am, and GDL COULD NOT TAKE IT, because he needs 30 minutes of quiet before set (word). When he went to talk him about it, they wound up singing and playing together instead.... funny imitation of JM. "Even though you want to be angry with him, he just sort of brings you into his world."

Goes on about how JM was his favorite guest star.

Talking about Ianto's wardrobe. And how he gave two of the suits to a cosplayer (whom, I and many of you know, but that's her story to tell so I am not naming names, even if GDL just told all of DragonCon). Says he stole the suits from the set, but then realized he could never wear them because people would recognize them as the Torchwood suits. It's all lovely and serious.

Talking about practical jokes. In To the Last Man... "the fucking director didn't say cut" (they got the whole scene in one take... but four and a half minutes later....) Funny flirty insanity ensues...

Says Torchwood was an experiment in the first place.

OH TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH CON.

Talks about CoE filming. "They shot as much of it as chronologically as possible" was much better than other seasons, where they'd be shooting episodes 2, 9 and 3 at the same time. Talks about how much easier it was to shoot chronologically for emotional/performance reasons (so true).

Now trying the shitty Clover Valley cola. Looks scared. Burps into mic. Really? Really was that necessary?

Interviewer asks about process for CoE. Talks about how epic it was to shoot, because there were some of these big speeches. So read throughs very important to hear the words first.

The actors who played Ianto's sister and brother-in-law -- their first jobs out of drama school. Has lots of love for these actors, was so impressed with them.

Re: kids in CoE --
"It was really difficult to get them to stand still."
"but we were comforted by the fact that it was much harder to get John Barrowman to stand still."

Has praise for the niece and nephew kids.

Heard horror stories about shooting the playground scenes trying to get all the kids synchronized. Says his own experience with the kids was great though.

Gets asked what was in the 456 tank.

GDL says "it was real. It was a real alien!"

It was actually a huge animatronic puppet.

Now we're apparently talking about David Tennant and John Barrowman having farting contests. GDL blames it on being Scottish.

Says JB says his farts don't smell and was deadly serious about it.
GDL asks "what makes your ass so special?"

This just goes on and on.....

Re: series 4

"They're going to have to bring me back in some way if they want people to watch it." Says he's kidding, audience says "we're not!" GDL is cute when he blushes. Reiterates the way the Whoniverse deals with time and how great it would be to have one episode where they go back and can't disrupt things by telling people about their demise. "Maybe I'm being sentimental."

Audience questions:
q: who is scarier, the 4-5-6 or the humans willing to give them up?

a: Definately the humans, because you can imagine it actually happening. "That's why it's written so brilliantly, because the humans are scarier than the alien threat."

q: asked about the status of The Point (a local club in Wales)
a: "the bastards have closed it, beautiful old venue." people had built flats next to it, then complained about noise form music venue and got it closed. "DON"T BUY FLATS NEXT TO A MUSIC VENUE IF YOU DO"T LIKE MUSIC BEING PLAYED YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES" "I'd like to graffiti those bastards doors with things... big cocks!"

q: what episode do you think is your best work as an actor on Torchwood?
a: "it's difficult as an actor because there are scenes you're proud of because you work so hard, but it may not be the most effective performance." Talks about how it was CoE for him, because he can sit back and as an audience member and see it as someone else up there. Talks about the audience reaction.

q: long thing re: Buffy
a: talks about being starstruck by James Marsters because Spike was so iconic and they were all Buffy fans and they were all nervous about it, but then JM tured out to be so nice and worried about making everyone happy so it was okay.

q: British questioner who bought a flat next to the Point because it was next to it, and she was pissed when they closed it. Question is actually about character development and whether it was hard and if people knew where their characters were going.
a: says everyone always had an inkling of where their characters were going.

"there was something missing in Day 5, but I don't know what it was... there was a bit of hotness missing"

q: "you win the award for the best use of heavy equipment"
a: "baby, I have to work heavy equipment every day."
q: "did someone have to teach you how to run that thing?"
a: "I could have driven the fucking thing, but they wouldn't let me. It was a straight forward machine to control, but I suppose if I would have killed someone..." "It was simple enough for me to go "let me drive this motherfucker.""

q: "I have another dark question for you"
a: "she's dark this bitch"
q: "do you think Jack can continue to be heroic without Ianto there to be that balancing influence.
a: "No."
q: "What influence do you think Ianto's had on him?"
a: "I think Ianto taught him about love."
audience: awwwwwwwwwwwww
a: "Ianto's death took him to a place where he head nothing left and without that love in his life he's cold enough to do what he needs to do. He's gone off into space to see if he can find the ability to love again."
q: "I'm really glad you say that, I think Ianto was all about unconditional love and you rarely see that on TV."
a: "I agree"

q: "I hate to bring this down to a crass level"
a: "show us your ass"
q: (girl turns around and bends over, then) "because of the bloody beans some of us are wondering if Ianto got any action before he died."
a: "I don't know. maybe he got a handjob during that last exchange. "don't forget me!""
q: "thanks for that visual"
a: "thank you for your bottom!"

q: question about CoE readthroughs
a: yeah, they have fun with it
(not that interesting)

q: "when are you getting on Twitter?"
a: "FUCK TWITTER"
a: "I am staying away from the Internet now because I spent four months talking to someone on the Internet who we thought was John's boyfriend Scott. They had personal photos, knew personal things about them, about all of us... it happened to Tom...Kai.... I can't deal with it." Also says his Facebook has been hacked. He is seriously done with the fucking the Internet.

(HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO UNCOOL)

q: someone asks him for a funny JB story
a: says there's no story you don't know that any of us would want you to know.

(THIS HAS BECOME REALLY SERIOUS. Fuck, I feel so bad for him).

Hilarious exchange with fan that's all like "you normally come to all my stuff, where have you been?" it goes on and on and it's funny and awkward and weird after the previous exchange, but they're clearly friendly.

Making fun of Shatner. And how Shattner's booth is designed because it prevents physical contact, talks about how people pay to be in the same physical space with the folks their fans of, but in a booth like that, it's like they are on telly, and it's stupid. Really, really -- you know, this is the stuff I talk about all the time.

Oh man he's half under the table immitating Shatner.

THIS IS SO FUCKED.

q: about driving on CoE
a: "I got to drive the SUV." "I think John thinks he's a better driver than he actually is. and he has this obsession with cars." mentions the fifth gear thing, says it was a bit embarrassing. Hey, JB owns a Delorean.

audience: "he has a tardis he doesnt need a delorean"
GDL: "the TARDIS isn't real. Delorean's are. You can get back to 1985 in a Delorean! Flux capacitor and everything!" SAys JB has had like three car accidents in the last year, and "not all light-hearted stories either."

A bit low on the self-censoring today....

Says he and JB have similar driving personalities. "WE both think we're awesome but we're really not."

Says he'd like to be on Top Gear, but since Clrakson is a homophobic fuck, he's pretty sure none of them will ever be on the show and that's why John did Fifth Gear.

q: about Very British Cover-up
a: loved doing that film... very different from Ianto.
(and in talking about drag queen names we've gotten to the subject of fisting.... this is special)
questioner and GDL having a long chat about which drag queens they know related to this fucking film.

talking about the OMG we're a couple moments in CoE....
"BY that stage we'd worked together for 2.5 years, the lines jumepd off the page, me and John and I are close enough that we could just [garbled]". "It was a pleasure to act."

Okay, panel is going to run five minutes over because it started late.

interviewer asks where we can find him on the net
GDL: YouPorn!

Now talking about the six-part series doing with James. Also tells off the fans (says we're the good guys, but you know, some people need to leave James alone." re: the James Moran situation. "Girl Number Nine." is apparently name of project.

Oh, has TV show offers since he's been here (so in last 24 hours).... so he's going home to talk about them.... this is new news in the last day. AWESOME AWESOME. BE EXCITED PEOPLE.

Talking about the 45 minute film project... Casimir Effect (sp?).

"On this hungover and surly sunday morning I want to thank you all so much for your support, I know I've left the show for the moment, but it changed my life" --- on and on.... it's so beautiful.

Awww, thanks so much for this! There was a lot of cool stuff here. :) Suit-giving, TV show offers, his CoE family. Horrible about the Internet shit, though.

Shatner is so weird. I think I've only ever seen him in "Miss Congeniality" (um, yeah...). I really am a sci-fi geek! Just not for Shatner.

I hope you keep having an awesome time!!

But that I'd love to see -- GDL on TG. The SIARPC would be one long *beep*.

Clarkson is well known as right wing and conservative, and yes homophobic. The show isn't gay friendly. He is a wanker really, and pretty unpopular amongst "pc" actors and comedians. I have heard him give some nasty interviews, plus he has had to apologise for some of the things he has said about people. I think he tolerates some of the gay men he has on the show, and they do it as it's work and good exposure.
